Mesh deformations in Unity
Hey all, this may very well have nothing to do with Rapid Rig but I'm pretty close to exhausting all other possibilities so here I am:). I'm having problems getting my animations from Maya to Unity. I'm currently using Rapid Rig Modular 1.8.3. Animations look fine in Maya even when I import exported FBXs but when I bring them into Unity although the animation looks fine in the preview window the model is very deformed when run in the scene. I'm pretty certain it is not an issue with the mesh. I don't think anything odd is happening during the binding process though I seem to remember a popup asking about "freezing joint transformation" which does not appear anymore which is strange. Exporting with a different version of Maya did not help. Not sure if this is a Maya, Rapid Rig, Unity issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If the fbx looks fine in Maya, and it is a single hierarchy skeleton, I am not sure why it would appear differently in Unity. I don't see the skeleton in your screenshots, but it seems like something is setting the joints' translation to collapse. Maybe a unit setting or degrees of freedom. I am less familiar with Unity compared to Unreal so I cannot confidently say what it is.
