this is the issue my other artist seems to have. He has the latest i also uploaded to the latest, but this message was prior to this. what could this be?? the version I had was 5_11 version. Is there a way to export so that a person doesn't need RRM3 installed and still have all the controls enabled? so this way we don't run into these issues. thoughts? I am using Maya 2024.2 he is using Maya 2024.4 i think.

I had the same question. Then I read about this topic.
Quote from the linked article:
"And lastly, this makes it more difficult for imposters to pass off Rapid Rigs as their own work because the rig will not fully function without the RRM3 plugin loaded. This has been all too common."
LOL What the actual... ?! Come on now.. just say :"to force the next guy buy another license"
What does that "imposter" even means? AND "To pass off Rapid Rigs as their own... This has been all too common". Who's work is it then? You think it's yours? Like if i'm modelling in Maya, then Autodesk could claim the ownership for that model and restrict to open exported OBJ in Blender, simply because i'm using their solution? It's NOT a big secret that autoriggers are widely used in all sorts of productions. Who gives a F how it's been made? Requiring an additional plugin for animator is really clunky way of doing things. I'm dropping my RRM3 and move on to something else. Too messy, too broken and now this. This info should be written in fat caps before purchasing:
"IT'S MY RIG! MINE!" - dustin.
here is the other issue upon opening the file on his end.
Rapid Rig: Modular 3 requires users in the production to have the plugin now. For more information regarding this change, please read the blog post. https://www.rapidrig.com/post/rrm3-maya-api The rrm3 nodes will not be updating as frequently as the rest of the code, so all users will not necessarily need to get every update. For example, the nodes have not changed since this blog post.
